Zheng Zhou Biuco Children Products, established in October 2015, is a subsidiary of Yutong Group, the world’s largest middle-large bus manufacturing company. ZAAFDesign was engaged by Biuco in 2016 to do the Style Design and the Engineering together with an another company in charged of CAE simulation and FEM analysis.
The product was conceived to satisfy the same safety level for a long period of growth ranging from 1 to 12 years.
To meet this important requirement, the seat was designed with a automatic shoulder width adjustment system, adaptable to the child growth, to ensure a equal safety margin for all ages during lateral impact.
The width adjustment system was developed in order to be compliant with the use of integral harnesses from 1 to 3 years and car belts from 3 to 12 years.
Soft Armor is a brand new material developed by Biuco. A soft material in normal condition, during crash it turns stiff to absorb the energy and protect babies from the impact. Soft Armor protection wing system was created for a high standard safety protection.
