Functional Restyling of the Deliziosa Food Printer

Restyling Deliziosa Food Printer vista tecnica

The aim of the project was the restyling of the previous version of Deliziosa, an inkjet printer designed for the food sector. It can be used on various products in the pastry sector such as cakes, biscuits, processed chocolate, sugar paste, creams and jellies.

Starting from the analysis of the operating requirements and the relationship between machine and user, a series of stylistic variations have been created to obtain a semi-compact shape, a combination of style and function. The restyling proposal also took into account the analysis of the environment in which the product is placed in order to obtain stylistic continuity.

The crossbar and turret elements are now presented in a single body that slides on the base. The printing plane is an element of composition, with its own precise character, in the right relationship with the solid of the printing “bridge”.

With the first prototype, we tested the materials associated with the specific processing technologies:

  • folded, anodized aluminum with a brushed finish to give the product a hi-tech connotation.
  • thermoforming with low costs and good adaptability to the desired shapes
  • thermoformed and painted methacrylate sheets for a greater horizontal volume of the bridge
  • the acrylic stone for the peculiar characteristics of workability and its perfect adaptability to the food world
